  1. Hi Yixin

I believe that social media play a important role in our society. Even small businesses are becoming more involve with social media. I think social media can be use for a lot of different things like connect with other people around the world, advertising for transportation, for education and in other areas.

  2. I think social media is going to be used by more and more businesses in the future. I watched a presentation by Vanguard a few weeks ago, and they discussed how they used their facebook and twitter accounts to keep the public updated with their company. They also discussed that while social media can be a great way to promote a business, you can only successfully achieve that promotion by being cautious about what you post. Just one tweet can really affect how the public perceives your business. All in all, I think social media is going to help a lot of companies in the future, some positively and other negatively. It all just depends on how it is used and if it is used properly.

  3. I truly believe that social media will dominate future marketing. I even want to use the knowledge I learned from class and start my own business. Social media gives me so much passion to involve in the business world. Those big companies, which are willing to expand their market, social media will allow them to maximum their profit,

  4. I think in the future social media will be used for more business practices like advertising products, marketing, branding, and eventually transactions. Some of those things are already in practice by several companies but not all of them. The reason is because for several companies they know social media is an easy and convenient way to reach their customers.

  5. I think that the future of social media will be about creating communities around products, ideas, hobbies, and interests. The eventual globalization of communities, where people from everywhere in the world will be able to discuss their interests and passions with others who share their interests is one of the focal advantages that the internet has revolutionized in the last decade. The ability to find large groups of other people that share interests that may be niche in your local community will be the next barrier that social media leaps, as social networks improve their abilities to bring relevant content to your interests. Furthermore, the need to fill out profiles on your interests, which currently is a time consuming and never ending process will become less important as your social media presence will be used to contextually predict potential interests.

  6. I think it’s too hard to tell where social media is going. Just a couple years ago it was just a way to catch up with friends, now social media is bombarded with advertising that generates billions of dollars. I think social media advertising today is inefficient. Companies see this (Like GM pulling all advertising from Facebook) and will try to make a push for greater interaction between the company and individuals, an example could be user submitted videos. Social media is so volatile that it could regress in the future and just become a way to connect and share. Then again, maybe advertising through social media in 5 years will be nothing like it is today, and generating higher returns than ever. I just think it’s too hard to even guess the future of social media.

  7. I think social media becomes more effective, and required in business in the future. Also, I believe that the social media will become more integrated by using new devices, such as tablets and smart phone to provide more personalized experiences. As you mentioned before, many companies and organizations start using social media for business use. In the future, using social media will be one of the most important way to manage a company’s marketing, sales and customer service as well.

  8. I think social media is going to expand even more globally, and is going to be more useful for everyday life. I think people are growing accustom to the rapid use of social media, so I believe in the future it will only expand even more

  9. Social Media is not only a place to express our feelings, it also a place to know around the world. I log into my social media sites at least once a day. By doing so, I can know what my friends up to around the world, and I can know what is hot in today. Then I can bring a topic to talk about within a conversation. Therefore, I think social media will become part of our life to spread news.

  10. The future of social media is bright! I think many companies are still getting the hang of how to use it to improve their business. Once companies gain this knowledge and experience I think industries and markets are going to shift even more then they already have.

  11. Great question Yixin! I think the future will hold a lot of changes for social media. I remember when I first starting using social media with MySpace its only intention was connecting friends for pure social enjoyment. As we can see now, social media is governed by rules. I feel it’s a place of business. Therefore, we are not using it to connect with friends, but instead potential employers and/or clients. I feel social media has a stronger weight when it comes to the hiring process, and your presence online is always monitor. Social media will grow into a central hub for businesses, externally and internally.

  12. Everyone is talking about social media, using social media everyday now. Everyone share their lives in their facebook, twitter, linkedin pages. Career in social media also becomes hot than ever. Businesses are using media to get to know their customers and ultimately want to turn it into greater sales. Social media increasingly plays a part of our lives. Therefore, i believe it will become universal when everyone use it regardless age, race, profession, country,…

  13. I think that future is already here. Social media is not just restricted to the large businesses but even small businesses are now using it to reach out to their customers. Today social media is an important marketing strategy for everyone and I think it will soon replace the traditional forms of communication amongst people.

  14. Thanks for your publiction. Another issue is that to be a photographer involves not only difficulties in capturing award-winning photographs but also hardships in acquiring the best digital camera suited to your requirements and most especially issues in maintaining the caliber of your camera. It is very genuine and visible for those photography lovers that are straight into capturing this nature’s eye-catching scenes – the mountains, the forests, the wild or the seas. Going to these adventurous places surely requires a digital camera that can meet the wild’s tough area.

  15. I think social can not only connect with other people around the world, but also it will become a very useful tool in business. Now, many of us can find a job opportunity on LinkedIn and other social media website. I think it will get more involved in the business fields.

  16. I don’t think any of us really know where social media is going. I would assume though that it’s going to become even more interactive with more technologies coming out. Google Glass is essentially going to make your entire life involved in social media and who knows what’ll happen when 3D printing becomes popular. I’m very excited to see the evolution of social media!

  17. I think eventually social media will become an even more important component of our lives and of society. Social media has just been here a little over a decade, yet it has influenced almost every aspect of our lives- from politics, culture, social, education, business to so on.

  18. I am getting a javascript mistakes, is definitely anybody more?
