San Jose, Costa Rica a Bachelor Party Destination

Foto from Inspiration.Kenmore.com

Have you been tasked with planning the ultimate Bachelor Party for a friend or family member? or you are just looking for the ultimate Bachelor Party? Are you thinking of an extreme-sports bachelor party? Or are you like a lot of bachelors who want a big party with limousines, ladies, cocktails, and lots of music? There are a lot of great guy vacation and bachelor party spots out of the U.S. in the Caribbean like Costa Rica, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, Jamaica and others. With all that in mind, here is my highly subjective top best destination for a bachelorhood blow-out.

Costa Rica

Costa Rica is a paradise of rain forests and beaches. San Jose is small and cozy, and it is the hottest spots to party. It definitely has a different ring to it because it is the capital city and it is not a beach town like Jaco. San Jose is at an altitude of 3000 feet. The true Costa Ricans venture into San Jose and hit the hottest clubs in San Jose.

Where to stay: Rent a Villa at Los Suenos Marriot in Jaco Beach or in San Jose, crash at The Whitehouse, Crowne Plaza Corobici or the Intercontinental Hotel.

How to get there: Delta, United, Spirit and American Airlines are the biggest airlines flying from United States to San Jose, Costa Rica.

Daytime: San Jose does not have much going on during the day. However, one can visit the National Theater or go to the Tropical Bungee where one can bungee jump into the tropical forest of Costa Rica for one of the most amazing experiences of your life. One can also go to Jaco where one will find some of the most beautiful beaches for lying out or surfing. For those looking for adventure, choose from a range of activities from white-water rafting to zip-lining through the jungles or soaking in natural hot springs is a great option for a daytime activity, but plan it for the first day so you are not that drunk.

Nighttime: If you are into gambling you can roll into Hotel Del Rey where there is enough slot machines to light you up for a night. In addition, Castro’s bar is the hottest discotheque in town and lots of our dancing clients will go there to get their grove on if Jaco is too laid back for their dancing shoes. There are also great bars, restaurant in San Jose for the big group dinners like Casa Luisa, Mirador Ram Luna and El Chicote.

Overwater Hut Resorts

Luxury beach resorts with Tahitian- style overwater bungalows are well-known for their privacy, spectacular scenery, and top-notch service.  Extremely popular for honeymooners and others seeking a romantic get-a-way, for company retreats, and even for families, these resorts are found in substantial numbers only in the Indian Ocean and in the South Pacific.  There is a very good world-wide demand for this type of resort.

There are more than 90 overwater bungalow resorts in the world, but the great majority of these resorts are located in the Maldives of the Indian Ocean and also in French Polynesia of the South Pacific.  There’s a spattering of a few others around other islands of the Pacific and Indian Oceans, but the ones in French Polynesia and the Maldives are most prominent and abundant.  Extremely well-designed, many of these resorts are four to five star quality hotels, with rates for standard rooms averaging about $1,100 per night.  But what really sets them apart from other resorts are their locations upon beautiful coral atolls in the midst of deep blue oceans with crystal clear blue waters inside the atolls.  The islands themselves are also stunning with plentiful palm trees and beautiful beaches.

The other concentration of these overwater bungalow resorts in French Polynesia includes 25 more overwater-bungalow-resorts.  The Society Islands (within French Polynesia) have 22 of these resorts located on Bora Bora, Moorea, Tahiti, Huahini, Raietea, and Taha’a.
