Painting the Town Colorful!!

Would you agree, if I told you that bright colors can make you happy?!?! What we wear is often a reflection of our mood and personality. And I’m a strong believer of that…Have you ever felt like you don’t want to pick one color as your favorite and wear multiple colors just to feel happy? A decade ago, if you wore multi-colored clothes, you were tagged as a clown, but today, its a fashion statement!

Out-of-my-wardrobe look for a coffee in Spring!!

When out for Cuppa Coffee in the breeze, style yourself and be a minimalist!

The winter has just passed by and you are eager to step out for a cup of coffee at your favorite coffee haunt! But don’t forget you still have to deal with that cool breeze :( . Obviously, its not too cold for a coat clad attire and yet its not warm enough for you to jump into your comfy shorts and t-top. Here’s a cool way you could beat that cold breeze and still not feel too hot!

You can consider wearing a combination right out of your closet and just about perfect for that cool climate. A simple checked shirt (whisper: you could steal one of your boyfriends slim fit casual shirt ;) ) and a pair of your favorite jeans is a good start. Team that with a fur vest  that will keep you warm enough. You could cover your neck with a cute pompom knitted scarf, it will not only protect you from catching a cold in the breeze but will also add the required dash of style keeping your overall look minimalist! A bracelet or two can help you bling your look a little, that is if your interested to do so.

Its a look that can certainly work all through spring and summer!! :)

Bold and bright colors are often a great break from the monotonous boring work attire. For those who want to experiment with their work look but not completely go off the track can try using bold colored plain blazers like Mustard, Burgundy, Cobalt Blues etc. You can pair these mono-tone jackets with neutral whites and beige shirts to accentuate the color. These candy colored coats are one of the top trends this pre-fall season and certainly an eye catcher. You will get noticed! Isn’t that what you want even at work?! If you feel you want to go all out with the style quotient go that one step ahead and wear a pair of black and white stripe pumps. Carry that style with you to work!

If you could pair these colored items with formal shirts and trousers you can certainly keep the work wear code intact!

The Vintage Look-50′s work wear!!

Going back to 1950′s, women flaunted a style that was conservative, yet glamorous. Their style reflected a mix of freshness and femininity that came from sweeping skirts to shorts and trousers. It was a classic look of the hour glass shape figure which was sensual and realistic. They wore full circle skirts teamed with fitted short sleeve shirts to work and dresses to more social events. A typical work look of the 50′s style could be something as seen below.

Photo Credit: From Brussels with Love

The look above, although conservative is fairly casual to wear to work. But as women  increasingly started to wear skirts, these styles crept in and took over the more traditional work attire. The pleated leather skirt is a full circle skirt that is tight at the waist and flowy downwards hiding any bulges that could make you look fluffy. The chocolate brown color on the skirt has been teamed well with a polka dot light brown-beige, short sleeved shirt. It gives a soothing look to the eyes and yet attractive. To break the monotony of the shades of brown, you could add a printed belt with a dash of gold. Finally finish the look with a pair of dainty black heels and a shocking red clutch to add some color!
