In Focus: Review a Social Media Related Book (CONTENT.BKREVIEW)
The purpose of the CONTENT.BKREVIEW activity is for you to learn more about social media and to gain practice in writing a review blog post.
- First, identify a book that is related to social media. Most likely this is a non-fiction book, but it can also be fiction as long as social media plays a prominent role. (It can also be a book assigned for this course.)
- Second, prepare an at least 300 word blog post reviewing the book. A typical format for a book review is to briefly introduce the book’s contents and then to provide a set of “likes” and “dislikes” about the author’s handling of the content.
- Third, post your review to either (a) the Course Participation Hub, (b) your Personal Course Blog, or (c) an online review destination like Amazon.com.
If you have difficulty finding a book, there are appropriate titles in the Temple U. library, including many with full text online access. I also have several in my office I can lend you.
